This recently completed project was to construct additional parking bays at a busy crematorium together with resurfacing and construction of distributor road with associated drainage. Final planting and landscaping were also part of this project

Due to the nature of the site noise and disruption is key to keep to a minimum. Daily liaison meetings were required in order to plan works around the schedule of this busy crematorium. Services were scheduled on a daily basis and this impacted on the type of works Steadline were able to undertake, noisy activities were planned outside of the core periods.

Regular communication with all stakeholders was key to the project success. Site deliveries again had to be scheduled together with removal of spoil around the crematorium schedule.

The works at the site have been increased by an extra 40 % which Steadline have been able to increase resource to accommodate most of this work within the existing contract period. During this period site delays occurred also through inclement weather as certain works had to cease in order to maintain clean and tidy site at all times
